Category ``debian:debug-symbols``
=================================

This artifact contains ``.debug`` ELF files extracted from a single
``-dbgsym`` binary package.  Debusine stores them so that archives can
serve them through `debuginfod
<https://sourceware.org/elfutils/Debuginfod.html>`_-compatible HTTP
endpoints (see :ref:`package-repositories` and
:ref:`use-debuginfod-with-gdb`).

Each instance is produced by the :task:`Sbuild` task when it finds a
matching ``-dbgsym`` package for a :artifact:`debian:binary-package`.
DWZ supplement files under ``/usr/lib/debug/.dwz/`` are not ingested.

* Data:

  * ``build_ids``: list of lowercase 40-character hexadecimal GNU build-IDs
    for the ``.debug`` files contained in this artifact (no duplicates)

* Files:

  * one file per build-ID, whose path in the artifact is the bare 40-character
    build-ID (for example ``fcc906421a099b642523dcdb571e3c265581442c``)

* Relationships:

  * relates-to: the corresponding :artifact:`debian:binary-package` that the
    ``-dbgsym`` package accompanies
